Jonathan Mertz - "Just Talking About Whatever"

So, what do you and I have in common with celebrities like Taylor Swift? There is no doubt that Taylor Swift is one of the most successful celebrities around and her loyal fan base proves it by showing out at every performance. But how do you and I have things in common with her and other celebrities? In this episode of Jonathan Mertz - "Just Talking About Whatever," we open up the discussion on our mental health and our internal struggles. We have to realize that we are the only ones who can convince ourselves that we are worth more. Often, we have a stigma when we try to realize our own mental status because we don’t want to acknowledge that we have issues. We get trapped in our own minds which can cause a mental breakdown, but we need to realize or tell ourselves that WE ARE IN CONTROL, even if we are not! We have to have hope and we have to realize that we are all human! Realizing this allows us to give meaning to hope through our actions as we help others and ourselves because we will know that we all struggle in some way.

I've been around but not doing my shows as often, why? Well listen and let me explain. 

I have been busy working on projects for my clients and myself, and I wish I could show and tell you about them, but I can't at this time. However, in this video podcast, I go over some of the equipment I use for my projects, and some of my equipment is new. I use all of this equipment on multiple projects, which means I need to make it as mobile as possible. That's a hard task sometimes. Anyways, I hope you enjoy my geekiness in this episode!

This is not an episode I planned but I thought it was necessary to talk about the impact of Roe v. Way and why the new possible Supreme Court decision is Scary! It's not scary on the abortion plane but on the focus of the Supreme Court overturning rulings. Some may say that this is politically motivated based on a party's agenda or religious agenda. But truth be told, we won't know anything officially until June or July when the official ruling is released. But how can this decision impact other previous rulings made by the Supreme Court and our rights? In life, things can pass you by or they may not go your way. Sometimes you may notice someone else struggling or having a conflict. In either situation, a possible solution may be to speak up! This doesn't mean you become a "Karen" as the term has been coined for all of the wrong ways to approach a situation. (sorry for all of the good people out there named Karen, I know you are out there! I know because I know a few.)   However, to speak up actually means taking a reasonable approach and using your voice to help. Just over 25 years ago, one of the first forms of social media started with instant messaging and chat rooms. ICQ was the web base app everyone went to, to meet new people and to find the latest gossip and trends. But just a small portion of people even knew about this technology, as it was still in the early stages of the internet. During this time many people didn't have access to the internet and it wouldn’t explode until the 2000s. So what did we do before that and social media?  Well, come on this journey with me and I will explain to you the adventures of the world offline.
